Full time Belgrade
As the Director of Eastern Europe Development Operations, you will lead and oversee all aspects of clients’ Development Center operations and business activities within the Serbian office. This role requires strategic vision, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of iLottery market dynamics. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Development Center, ensuring alignment with the strategy and objectives set by the executive leadership.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Provide strategic guidance and leadership to local senior management and regional teams to ensure alignment with global goals.
- Serve as the local ambassador representing the client’s vision, values, and strategy.
- Develop and implement plans for the region that proactively support and drive client’s business growth initiatives.
- Spearhead efforts to establish the client as the premier employer of choice among technology organizations in Serbia and the broader region.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee and optimize day-to-day operations across all product development and support functions to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistent delivery commitments.
- Implement and continuously refine best practices, operational standards and key performance indicators to optimize delivery performance and service quality.
- Establish and maintain robust processes, standards, and procedures that align with client’s global objectives while adapting to local needs and regulations.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence, encouraging innovation, problem-solving, and knowledge sharing among team members.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry partners, and local business communities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a multinational organization, ideally within the lottery and/or iLottery sector.
- Strong understanding of the Serbian market dynamics, cultural nuances, and business practices.
- Demonstrated success in driving business growth, managing P&L responsibilities, and leading diverse teams.
- Experience working with technology organizations and teams. Familiarity with technology development life cycles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in other European languages is a plus.
